Due to the current Pandemic, we are faced with a lot of uncertainties in relation to wedding planning, but we are here to reassure you that you are still in safe hands.

We are currently in the process of working with couples to reschedule their weddings but here are a few things to keep your mind at ease:

  • If you need to reschedule your wedding, please reach out so we can make necessary arrangements to accommodate you.

  • No additional fees and no new contract would be required to reschedule your wedding.

  • As long as your original officiant does not have any personal engagement prior to your new date, they will officiate your ceremony or we will find you a substitute on our team that will deliver just as great.

  • Perhaps your original wedding date is of great significance to you and still want to get married, you may consider our COVID wedding package or

  • We can arrange a symbolic ceremony and have you bring back your marriage license for signing later after the lockdown at no additional cost to you.

  • Please note that most City Hall Clerk offices are temporarily closed until further notice.

  • If your request is URGENT, please send an e-mail to to express as such.

Below are other options to consider if you MUST BE LEGALLY MARRIED during the Lockdown as long as you have a marriage license:

  • Take advantage of the following packages: “Legal Signing”, "Simply Married" or "The Intimate" which is in line with the current restrictions.

  • The above can be arranged on appointment basis only at our office.

  • If you are worried about the expiry of your marriage license, the above mentioned would be ideal.

  • Last Option is using "Marriage BANNS" used by Churches instead of a marriage license.

  • If you ever consider this route, submit your request for further discussion due to the limited number.

An extension period is triggered only if a province wide emergency is declared under the EMCPA. As a third province-wide declaration of

emergency had been made, the validity period has been extended for certain licenses issued. Since the extended validity periods due to the

second and third province-wide emergencies overlap, please take note of the updated periods:

  • Licenses issued between December 1, 2019 and July 24, 2020 are still valid and can be used until July 24, 2022.

  • Licenses issued between October 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020 are still valid and can be used until February 10, 2023.

  • Licenses issued between January 1, 2021 and the end of the third province-wide emergency due to COVID-19 wii be valid from the date they were issued until 24 months from the end of the third province-wide emergency.

  • Note: The validity period for marriage licenses issued between July 25, 2020 and September 30, 2020 has not been extended.
